Privacy Policy
ngnote is in private invite-only beta. This page is a working summary of how we handle your data today. A full privacy policy with the legal specifics and the rights you have under GDPR and CCPA will replace it before the public launch.
What we collect
- Your email address — only when you join the waitlist or sign in.
- Your name and avatar — from your Google account, the first time you sign in.
- The notes, clips, tasks, and other content you create inside ngnote.
- Standard server logs (IP, request URL, status code, timestamp), retained for roughly 30 days for debugging and abuse prevention.
What we don't collect
- Third-party analytics or behavioral tracking.
- Advertising trackers, marketing cookies, or any kind of cross-site profile.
- Your content is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
How we use what we collect
- To run the service: sign you in, sync your data across devices, push reminders to your phone.
- To respond when you email hello@ngnote.com about your account or feedback.
- To debug crashes and abuse using the access logs above.
Where your data lives
Hosted on Google Cloud Platform. All transit is HTTPS-only. The database is encrypted at rest. File uploads (images, audio, drawings) are stored in Google Cloud Storage with signed URLs that expire on a regular schedule.
Your data, your control
Email hello@ngnote.com to export everything we have on you, correct anything that's wrong, or delete your account entirely. We'll respond within seven days.
Subprocessors
- Google Cloud Platform — hosting, database, file storage
- Google Firebase — sign-in (Google account verification) and cross-device push notifications
- Cloudflare — DNS, edge cache for the marketing site and auth landing
Contact
Questions, concerns, or data requests: hello@ngnote.com.
This is a placeholder. ngnote is in private beta and this page exists so we can link to a real URL from sign-in consent screens, the app's footer, and the marketing site. A proper privacy policy will replace it before we open to the public.
